So Amit Jain along with his brother Anurag Jain started a business with the name GirnarSoft in their home car garage. GirnarSoft was an IT company that was run by the Jain brother and they used to provide services like mobile app development, web development, etc. 

In the year 2008, Amit Jain attended the AutoExpo automotive show and got the idea to start a business like CarDekho which will help users to buy or sell cars after getting honest reviews of all the cars available in India.
