World Human Rights Day 2023

World Human Rights Day 2023 was first observed by the United Nations General Assembly adopted by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in the year 1948. Since then every year the whole world celebrates World Human Rights Day on 10 December. So World Human Rights Day 2023 will be the 75th celebration on the same date 10 December. The purpose to celebrate World Human Rights day is to make sure that everyone is aware of their fundamental rights across the globe. 

The UDHR is a landmark document that supports people regardless of race, color, religion, sex, language, political or other opinions, national or social origin, property, birth, or any other status. And the good part is that the UDHR document is the most translated document in the world, it is available in more than 500 languages.

World Human Rights Day 2023 Theme

World Human Rights Day 2022 theme is “Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All” and the call to action is #StandUp4HumanRights. The World Human Rights Day 2021 theme was Equality: Reducing inequalities, advancing human rights. Human rights day reminds us that all people have equal rights to live. But the World Human Rights Day 2023 Theme is not announced yet.
