NEET Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

There were some changes in the NEET exam pattern last year but the mode of exam and marking scheme remained the same. In this exam, 45 questions were always asked from each subject and each question carried 4 marks. But last year the sectioning was the major change in the question paper. 

NEET 2022

Sectioning means 2 sections were made for each subject, the first section had 35 questions, which were compulsory, but in the second section, 15 questions were given out of which only 10 were to be attempted. This table will help you to learn more about last year’s question paper pattern:

Each question contains 4 marks and 1 extra mark is deducted at every wrong attempt which is called negative marking.

NEET-UG Counselling

After the declaration of results NEET-UG Counselling is the next step to enroll in a medical college. NEET-UG Counselling can be categorized into the following 2 parts:

  • State Level Counselling: this category contains the rest 85% of seats and is conducted by respective states.
