Indore Metro Project is a transportation project across the city of Madhya Pradesh. It will be a combination of on-ground and underground metro systems. Indore Metro Construction Company
The designing of the whole Indore Metro project is done by Rohit Gupta, the head of Rohit Associates Cities & Rails Private Limited and the Indore Metro construction company name is Dilip Buildcon Limited which is operating under the awarding body of Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Co. Limited (MPMRCL). MPMRCL is basically, a joint venture between the central Government of India and the state Government of Madhya Pradesh and is working as an executive authority for the Metro projects.
Indore Metro Construction Company, DBL is currently in operation in three more cities for the construction of Metro – Bhopal, Surat, and Ahmedabad. In Indore, the stone of Metro construction was put on 25 December 2020 for its first ring line from Bhawarsal to Super Corridor-1, a 30-station line. The construction work is still on.
Indore Metro Project Cost
According to the sources, I have come to know that the Indore Metro Project Cost is approximately Rs 15,000 Crore. This number can be considered as the total project cost for the Indore Metro.
Initially, it was announced that the MP Government will take a loan of Rs 12,000 Crore from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at a 0.3% interest rate and this loan will be for the Bhopal and Indore metro rail project. But later JICA refused the loan and on 1 May 2019, the Asian Development Bank gave approval regarding funds for Indore Metro Rail Project. The Union Government is the guarantor for this loan.
Indore Metro Route
Indore Metro is a huge project that will take time to be completed. In reality, a total of 11 corridors have been planned in the complete project, out of which 5 are approved and currently, 1 corridor is under construction.
This only under-construction corridor or line is referred to as Line 3 or Yellow Line which is connecting Palasia to Bhawarsala through 30 Metro stations. Out of these 30 Metro stations, 6 will be underground whereas the remaining will be on-ground.
The Indore Metro Project’s first phase route (Line 3 or Yellow Line) is 33.53 kilometers long and is expected to be completed in 2024.
Indore Metro Route includes four more lines that are known as Line 1A, Line 1B, Line 2, and Line 4.

Indore Metro First Phase
Here I need to explain one thing the 5 corridors, Line 1A&1B, Line 2, Line 3, and Line 4 are the part of Indore Metro Mega Project’s first phase but only one corridor is in its developing stage which is Line 3 and the rest are still at the planning stage.
As we know Indore Metro’s first phase includes the development of the Yellow line which is a 33.53km long corridor which is connecting Palasia to Bhawarsala. With the completion of the Yellow Line construction, the priority corridor will be completed for the trial while the remaining corridors are still in the planning stage.

Indore Metro Completion Date
Line 3 or Yellow Line is referred the priority corridor, so the priority corridor of Indore Metro completion date is expected in August 2024. With the completion, the corridor will also be open for trial and transportation. Along with this, the Indore Metro first phase is expected to be complete in the year 2027.
