Prithvi Kini and Jashid Hameed are the founders of Novedo, a mushroom brand that aims to be India’s premier and most trusted by 2025. Prithvi Kini completed her schooling at the National Public School in 2011 and then she enrolled at the Lady Shri Ram College For Women to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in philosophy which she completed in 2014. After schooling, she also attended the Summer program at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
During her graduation, she did internships in journalism at Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd. and NDTV. Before founding Nuvedo in 2021, she worked in different positions in several companies including D. E. Shaw Research, Jiva Sciences Pvt Ltd, Aranya Agricultural Alternatives, etc. She is also the founding member of QNu Labs, India’s first quantum cybersecurity company established in 2016. In 2023, she joined the Fungi Foundation as a part-time Program Lead.
Jashid Hameed holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He also has a Post Graduation Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. He did internships at Rane NSK Steering Systems Ltd and L’Oréal. In July 2017, he joined Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd as an Area Operations Manager and left the company in 2020 to start his entrepreneurial journey of Nuvedo with Prithvi Kini in 2021.
