Founders of Ekam Eco Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
Uttam Banerjee and Sachin Joshi are the co-founders of Ekam Eco Solutions Pvt. Ltd. established in 2013 as a research spin-off of IIT Delhi’s works on Sanitation. They appeared on Shark Tank India Season 3 to promote Zerodor, a patented technology for waterless urinals.
Uttam Banerjee completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya in 2001 and then enrolled at the Oriental Institute of Science & Technology to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering which he completed in 2006. In 2008, he enrolled at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi for a Master of Design in Industrial Design which he finished in 2010.
From 2006 to 2008, he was the Assistant Manager at Mahindra & Mahindra, and after that, he was a Teaching Assistant at IIT, Delhi for almost 2 years. In June 2010, he joined Dhama Innovations Pvt. Ltd. as a Product Designer and worked till March 2011. Right after that, he joined Crompton Greaves as an Industrial Designer and worked till September 2013. In June 2014, he became an Advisory Board Member at Consulting for Social Good and worked till January 2021. In October 2012, he founded Bambooed which he is still running.
Sachin Joshi completed his Bachelor of Engineering at K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai in 1999. In 2007, he pursued his Master of Business Administration in Finance at Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies which he completed in 2010.
Sachin started his professional career journey at High Places Management Pvt. Ltd. as a Marketing Manager in July 1999 and worked till February 2001. After that. He joined Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. in February 2001 and worked till May 2016 with the company in different positions. He left Crompton Greaves to become the co-founder of Ekam Eco Solutions Pvt. Ltd. which was started by Uttam in 2013.

Ekam Eco Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Shark Tank India Season 3 episode streamed on 15 February 2024. The founders presented their products and asked for Rs 1 Crore in exchange for 3% equity. Peyush gave them an offer which was Rs 1 Crore in exchange for 10% equity. The founders gave a counteroffer which was Rs 1.5 Crore in exchange for 10% equity but Peyush was not ready for that so they did not get any deal on Shark Tank India Season 3.
