The founders of Raja Rani Coaching presented their business model and products to the Sharks and all the Sharks were too impressed with both founders and their entrepreneurial skills. They asked for Rs 1.3 Crore in exchange for 5% equity.
The first offer was made by Anupam Mittal which was Rs 50 Lakh for 10% equity and the rest of the Rs 80 lakh in debt at 15% interest rate. Amit Jain also offered them a royalty which was Rs 1.3 Cr for 10% royalty until 2.3 Crore is recouped and also given a choice for equity deal as same as Anupam while Anupam also matched Amit’s equity deal. So both the offers were the same at this time.
Priya and Mohit took a minute and decided to go with the equity deal and made a counteroffer if the Sharks could consider Rs 50 lakh for 6% equity and the rest of the Rs 80 lakh on debt at a 15% interest rate. Amit and Anupam both were not ready below 10% equity so there was no deal.
