Simran Khara is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Koparo Clean. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Shri Ram College of Commerce in 2002. After that, she pursued an MSc in management studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2003. In 2005, Simran enrolled herself at the Indian School of Business and completed her Master of Business Administration in Marketing.
Simran started her professional career journey with McKinsey & CompanyMcKinsey in 2006 as a Senior Associate. In December 2009 she left the company to join Star TV as a Chief of Staff at the CEO’s Office and worked for more than 5 years in different positions. In 2016, she joined Hotstar and worked for around 1 year as she was appointed as the CEO of Juggernaut Books in 2017.
Her entrepreneurial journey began in 2020 with Koparo Clean when she realized the problem of super-toxic elements used in these products. In 2023, Mira Kapoor became the brand ambassador of Koparo Clean to promote healthy surroundings.

Koparo Shark Tank Business Deal
Koparo Clean Shark Tank India episode aired on 6 February 2024. The Koparo Clean Founder Simran Khara presented their products to the Sharks and they all just liked it. She asked for Rs 70 lakh in exchange for 1% equity. The first offer was given by Vineeta Singh which was Rs 70 lakh for 2% equity. Anupam also offered Rs 70 lakh for 1.25% equity and later he revised his offer and asked for 1.16% equity.
Aman joined Vineeta and revised their offer which was Rs 70 lakh for 1% and the deal was locked at it.
