The story of Aastey began during the pandemic when two friends Jeevika & Kanupriya realized a vast gap in the market for size-inclusive and sustainable clothes. They started working on their idea and as of now, they have built a community of 200k+ women.

Founders of Aastey

Jeevika Tyagi and Kanupriya Mundhra are the founders of Aastey and they also appeared on Shark Tank to promote their brand and raise some funds for the survival of their business.

Jeevika Tyagi completed her schooling at Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj in 2007 and then enrolled at Drexel University to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in 2007 which she completed in 2011. She also went to Imperial College London for a winter school program in 2009.

Before founding Aastey in September 2021, she worked at several companies with different roles and gained a lot of knowledge. Her previous companies are BlackRock (Solutions Center Analyst), New York Film Academy (Marketing Manager), Fleet Ent. (Marketing Producer), Purple Squirrel (Marketing Manager), Stappu Online Services (Co-Founder), Adret Allayurveda (CMO & CEO), Unifynd (CMO), ZEE5 (Marketing Lead), UsherBae Productions (Founder), Hult Prize Foundation (Judge & Expert), etc. As of now, Jeevika is the co-founder & CEO of Aastey.

Kanupriya Mundhra completed her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics in 2014 and then pursued her master’s Degree in Business Management from the same institute. She also did a Masters Degree in Strategic Communications from Columbia University in 2017.

She has previously worked at several companies including Tips Industries (Business Associate), Balaji Telefilms (Branding and Product Placement Intern), She’s Not Just A Pretty Face (Founder), Association of National Advertisers (Marketing Intern), Matter Unlimited (Strategy Assistant), Eduauraa (Head Of Marketing Communications), Stealth Startup (Co-Founder), etc. As of now, Kanupriya is the Co-founder of Aastey.
