Radhika Koolwal and Shawaz Khan are the founders of Urban Space, a notable home decor brand in India. Radhika completed her Bachelor of Engineering at Medicaps Institute of Technology and Management in Computer Science in 2010. After that, she enrolled to the International Management Institute to pursue her Master of Business Administration in 2013 which she completed in 2015.
Right after completing her engineering, she joined Infosys as a Senior System Engineer and worked till June 2013 as she pursued an MBA after that. In 2015, she joined Square Yards as a Senior Portfolio Manager and worked for 5 months. In September 2015, she joined Amber Textile Mills as a Sales and Marketing Manager. She left the company in September 2016 to join EndeavorCareers Pvt Ltd which she left in June 2018 to start Urban Space.
Shawaz co-founded Urban Space and is still working hard to grow the business day by day with Radhika.

Urban Space Shark Tank Business Deal
Urban Space on Shark Tank India Season 3 episode streamed on 13 February 2024. The founders presented their products to the Sharks and asked for Rs 1.8 Crore in exchange for 1% equity. The first offer was given by Amit Jain which was Rs 1.8 Crore for 2% equity along with 5% royalty until Rs 2.7 Crore is recouped. Another offer was given by Anupam Mittal which was Rs 1.8 Cr in exchange for 2% equity along with 3% royalty until Rs 3.6 Crore is recouped later he reduced the royalty to 2%.
The founders were not comfortable taking a royalty deal and they offered a maximum equity of 1.25%, at which both the sharks were not ready. This is why Urban Space didn’t get the deal on Shark Tank
